Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Landmark Case on Global Warming

The U.S. Supreme Court today agreed to hear an appeal by several states, cities and environmental groups that promises to be a landmark environmental case, quite possibly the most important environmental decision in the Court's long and distinguished history. The appeal, like the original lawsuit on which it is based, is aimed at forcing the Bush administration and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to take action against global warming by regulating carbon dioxide emissions.
