U.S. Supreme Court Begins Hearing Oral Arguments in Global Warming Case

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court will begin hearing oral arguments in a landmark environmental case that will determine whether the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has the authority, and the responsibility, to regulate greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming. The decision in the case is expected to have a dramatic effect on U.S. environmental policy and could lead to global environmental consequences.
