With the combination of high gasoline prices and high anxiety about the potential effects of greenhouse gas emissions and global warming, it is more important than ever to make smart choices about the fuel economy of the car you buy. To help you and other consumers make better and more informed car-buying decisions, the EPA has redesigned its fuel economy label for new vehicles, which will provide much more information than the previous label and enable you to compare the performance and fuel costs of different cars, trucks and SUVs.
