This article states, “According to DuPont, the finished product of Teflon does not contain any of the production-process chemicals linked to health problems in factory workers.” When did we start trusting DuPont to tell us what’s safe? Isn’t there a conflict of interest here? I would love to see a better source quoted if I am going to trust it.
Also, while “ingesting small particles of Teflon flaked off into food is not known to cause any health maladies,” this article does not address toxic off-gassing from Teflon, a frequent cause of death in household birds. If it kills birds, shouldn’t its health effects on humans be considered?
