McCain Scores ZERO on Environment; Clinton and Obama Do Better
U.S. Sen. John McCain may be the frontrunner for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, but he placed dead last among Members of Congress when it came to his voting record on environmental issues in 2007. McCain was zero for 15 on the League of Conservation Voters' annual congressional scorecard. The problem isn't that McCain voted the wrong way on crucial environmental issues last year, it's that he didn't bother to vote at all. When the going got tough, McCain got going—right out the door of the Capitol.
