If you can do without lights on your house and tree without feeling like the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, that’s one sure way to green your Christmas by lowering your electricity use during the holidays.

If you and your family consider lights an essential part of Christmas, use LED lights, which require less energy, burn cooler, and last far longer than traditional incandescent lights. And try to use fewer lights in your holiday decorating scheme this year.
